Fascia is a contributing factor, if not the single most cause, for a majority of muscosceletal pain. Commonly ignored by Western medicine, fascia is the largest organ surrounding the entire body, incl. muscles, organs and bones. Fascia connects and communicates information throughout body and brain. It transmits, responds to and stores information and emotions. Past fears, sadness and trauma can be locked in this tissue, causing chronic tension and pain. To release and soften hardened fascia requires a physical and psychological 'unlocking'.
